There are few times where I will actually recommend people to go see a movie. District 9 is one of those movies.I think the acting was great and the special effects, particularly the aliens, was top notch. The effects were on par or better than Transformers 2. It was a pretty standard plot, and any "twists" were pretty easy to spot. There is one particular scene with a pig that I did not see coming.
I got a fair amount done today. I woke up at 6 AM to take my car for an oil change. While it was being worked on, I walked over to get some breakfast and to read my Kindle. (Lord of the Rings)
After that, I helped a co-worker move and then had lunch with Jenn. We then watched a few movies before going to see District 9. All in all a pretty good day.
Bottom line, District 9 rules.
